Lord Jesus Christ: True God or True Man?

     The iglesia ni Cristo or the Philippine church of Christ believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is only man while the Members church of God Int'l (religion/Christian sect mentained by Eliseo Fernando-Soriano, abbreviated: MCGI) believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is only God. What does the Catholic Church believes about the Lord Jesus Christ? The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is true God and true Man. Why does the RCC believes that Jesus Christ is true God and true Man? Because the holy Bible says so!

Jesus Christ is true Man

I - "...the man Jesus Christ." (I Timothy II:5)

II - "The Word* became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us...." (John I:14)

III - "The army officer who was standing there in front of the cross saw how Jesus has died. 'This man was really the Son of God!' he said." (Mark XV:39)

IV - "So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, 'Look! Here is the man!'" (John XIX:5)

Jesus Christ is true God

I - "Christ was truly God..." (Philippians II:6, Contemporary English Version)

II - "No one has ever seen God. The only Son, who is the same as God and is at the Father's side, he has made him known." (John I:18)

III - "About the Son**, however, God said: 'Your kingdom, O God, will last forever and ever! You rule over your people with justice.'" (Hebrews I:8)

     The Lord Jesus Christ is true God and true Man. The holy Bible approves of it. 

*The Word is the Lord Jesus Christ. Try reading the whole verse. The verse says he is the only Son of the Father. The only Son of the Father is the Lord Jesus Christ.
